Okay, so the double bun style wasn’t entirely a new look for Miley since we’ve seen her slick her short hair back into two baby buns before. But this time around, Miley added more bulk to her braids by using platinum blonde extensions that looked more rope-like than actual hair.
It wasn’t just Princess Leia buns Miley attempted to bring back, but she also styled her hair with four white hair clips in the back. Miley’s clips may have been more for practical purposes than a styling choice (she’s growing out a pixie cut so she has a lot of small pieces to slick back). But the ’90s clips were also recently worn by Chloe Grace Moretz at the AMAs, so a comeback is totally possible.
