We may be rocking our killer high-heeled leather ankle booties now, but come winter, we have to admit that we just might be rethinking our fashionable footwear. Props to fashionistas that can make it work, but slipping and sliding around in the snow and slush doesn't exactly sound like our idea of a good time. The solution? This year, it just might be a pair of Uggs - we know, we know - but hear us out!
Recently, everyone's favorite It-girl and supermodel, Kendall Jenner, was spotted on a shopping spree at, you guessed it: The Ugg store. Along with her sister Kylie, Kendall picked up several different pairs of boots and snuggly sheepskin accessories - but the shoes she picked weren't your average Uggs.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show model opted for Ugg's newest style, the Amie ($200,Ugg), which is a more polished version of the traditional clunky boots we're used to seeing. Instead of a flat sole, the Amie boots have a slight wedge heel, and a narrower silhouette. The slimmed-down style comes in all the classic Ugg colors, like grey, chestnut and black, and a fresh, unexpected navy blue hue.
The boots ring up at around $200, which means they're not cheap - but might they be the ultimate cold weather investment piece this season? Kendall certainly seems to think so - and let's not forget that one time even Vogue declared that the Ugg boot is staged to make a comeback! We just might be giving Uggs a second chance this winter.
