Khloe Kardashian had some very exciting news when she spoke with Ryan Seacrest on Nov. 16 about Lamar Odom! Khloe says his organs are recovered but he still has a long road of recovery ahead.
Khloe Kardashian is getting very candid about Lamar Odom‘s recovery and finally the burning questions we had are answered! In her most revealing interview yet with Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show, she reveals that Lamar is still in the hospital and no longer on “any machines to keep him alive.” But she says that it could take at least a year for him to get back to normal but there’s no telling if he’ll ever fully recover“Lamar is actually doing great compared to where he was,” Khloe told Ryan. “It was not looking good from where we started. But at this moment he is not on any machines to keep him alive anymore. His kidneys are recovered and all of his organs are pretty much recovered. It’s more his brain is still affected and physically he has to learn how to walk again and he is learning how to feed himself again. All those normal things we take for granted every day and it’s a really long road and it’s going to take a long time. People hear he’s off machines and they’re like ‘oh great, he’s going to be running out of there. That’s not the case but I’m so blessed on the progress of where he is and I know he’ll get there, it’s just going to take …”
Khloe also revealed that the doctors are very straight forward that it will take Lamar a lot of rehabilitation before he can live and function on his own. “We don’t have a crystal ball’ — they love reiterating that to me. I’m very optimistic and I want to believe he can. There are no promises, but if he’s willing to do the work — I know the speech therapy, or the occupational therapy, or just all the cognitive stuff I’m sure it’s really hard for him and frustrating — but if he’s willing to do it, I don’t see why not. But it will take at least a year; at least.”
